![]() ![]() I have been contemplating buying Quicken Essentials for Mac for several months. ![]() ![]() There are many good features and I am sure I will learn to love it, (in a few months) I am 56 and have been using a PC for many, many years, I thought I was pretty savvy since I have all the other apple products and love them, but this is a whole different ballgame. I would have returned it but had the geek squad load all the programs before I picked it up and all my files got copied over, so I was pretty much committed at that point. i thought I would be able to sell my PC since it is newer, but I have had to set it up in a different room because I am not ready to let go, i still need to go to it for Quicken reports, the Mac version is very slim on features compared to the Windows version. I also got the trackpad and the Time Capsule. Both of those programs are totally different from the PC versions too, so not only was I having to learn the basics of navigating around the Mac but also relearn how to use programs (they are called apps on Mac). I use my computer for business so I had to buy Quicken for Mac and Office for Mac. Don't get fooled like I did, it is nothing like your iPad. You have to relearn pretty much everything, if you have been using a PC all your life. Since i own an iPad, iPhone, itouch, I thought it was be an easy transition from PC to Mac, but it has been frustrating at times.
